The International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC) is held annually in different parts of the world. Each year, the forum brings together up to 2000 participants from 135 countries. The event is organised by the International Anti-Corruption Conference Board and the global anti-corruption network Transparency International.
This year, Ukraine was represented at the IACC in Vilnius by the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption (NAPC), and the forum was attended by representatives of the Kyiv authorities: Oleh Tymoshenko, Director of the Department for Prevention and Detection of Corruption at the Kyiv City State Administration, and Viktor Domahalskyi, Kyiv Mayor's Anti-Corruption Advisor and member of the Kyiv City Council from the UDAR party.
At the conference, they presented the activities of the capital's anti-corruption agency, which Kyiv was the first city in Ukraine to establish in late 2023. The purpose of its work is to assess corruption risks in the decisions of the city authorities and to monitor the effective use of the capital's budget.
Speakers at the conference focused on the challenges of today, such as greed and corruption, which are accelerating the global catastrophe. In addition, they discussed integrity standards, improving access to justice, and professional development of public servants around the world.
